Lore Ceramics is owned and run by Katie & Tom Piro. Both were raised in Metuchen and view it as a very unique and special community.

Katie Piro (McKeown) has been an art educator for 16 years. For 10 years she worked within the Metuchen School District, five at Campbell Elementary School and five at Metuchen High School. In 2020 she built her home ceramics studio and began producing work to sell and show in galleries. She has 2 Masters Degrees, one in Art Education and one in Creative Business Management.
