Semester Classes
14 days or more before your start date: Full Refund
7 - 14 days: 50% Refund
Less than 7 days: No Refund Possible.
You may not transfer your purchase to another semester. There are no exceptions to this policy as you have purchased a specific spot on a certain date/time. Classes that do not reach a certain enrollment level may not run.
Throwdowns & Workshops
Cancellation of at least 48 hours before the start date of your activity will be issued a full refund.
There are no refunds within 48 hours of the class or for no-shows.
Memberships
Memberships are required to be purchased in 3-month increments in advance. If you no longer wish to continue with your membership, you must provide us at least 2 weeks prior notice to your end date.
Most of our classes and events are very beginner friendly and a great way to start learning about clay. Any that are specific to more advanced skills will be clearly labeled.
Of course! If you let us know ahead of time for your class or event, we’re happy to make sure they are elsewhere.
Parking in Metuchen is free after 6 and on Sunday's. There's street parking along Main Street and side streets. There's also the Pearl Street Parking Deck, and the New Street Parking Lot.
Yes, we are just a 5 minute walk from the train station, straight down Main Street.
We recommend comfy shoes, and an old towel you can put over your lap. You are welcome to bring an apron or smock if you like, but we do not provide aprons.
About 5 weeks. It sounds like a long time but we will be trimming, drying, firing, glazing and firing your piece a second time. If you did a throwdown, you’ll receive a text when your pieces are ready for pick up in our retail store. If you were part of a group event, your group leader will be responsible for picking up pieces and distributing them to you.
If either the studio, or the group decide to postpone an event due to poor weather we will make that call the morning of. We will work together to find a make-up time that fits with your schedule. Weather does not affect our standard cancellation policy, if you choose to cancel instead of postpone, the standard policy applies.
Yes. It will be rescheduled to the flex week at the end of the semester.
Semester Classes and Memberships need to be 18+.
Throwdowns are 16+.
Private Events can accommodate children as young as 10 years old, though the younger they are the less likely they are to create something to keep. Ages 10-14 need to have at least one parent stay with the group for the duration.
If another class has open spots, you can make it up on another day or you can make a point to come in during open studio hours to make up your time.
Just a junky old towel. We will provide all your clay and tools.
